Country-based rental recommendations
To suggest rentals in your country, our server sends your public IP address to ipapi.co, with ipwho.is as a fallback. These services receive the IP address under their respective privacy policies. We store only the two-letter country code in an HttpOnly cookie named ehr_country for 24 hours. Our detection cache retains a keyed hash of the IP and the resulting country for up to 24 hours (unsuccessful lookups for five minutes). This cache resets when the server restarts.
Country detection is approximate and may reflect a VPN or proxy rather than your residence. It is not used to verify identity or determine billing. If detection fails or you block the cookie, you can still choose a location in map search. Your browser does not request precise device location for these recommendations.
